Monday

Some drawings from the last week

I particularly like the middle one, i really experimented with different media and was actually quite happy with the result, the top one is a not looking drawing they have a certain charm to them and the bottom one i felt really captured the model well, i tried to take a sneaky photo of him but apparently that isnt ok...

Lost and found

I did this drawing at the candid arts centre in Angel a few weeks ago but lost it, I was experimenting with charcoal because I hate it, and although this isnt the best drawing in the world , its not the worst ive ever done either...

Daisy De Villeneuve

I love De Villeneuves' characters! I have always loved the way she does her faces and her use of felt tip pen, definately going to grab some of her books over Christmas!

Monday life drawing at the Royal Inn

I did these tonight at the pub down the road, my faveourite is the bottom drawing, this is a not looking drawing laid over another and i think it looks great im really pleased with it and im going to carry on exploring this concept.

Picasso and Schiele

I love the use of line in both artists work, absolutley beautiful, bottom left looks similar to my 'not looking' drawings obviously Picasso's is much better.

Post tutorial

I looked at artists I can look at to push my experimentation in this FMP. Here we have Julie Verhoeven and Aurel Shcmidt, very different to my style, but so exciting and so charming ! Verhoeven's use of media and lines is exciting and something im going to experiment with, pen, pastille, inks , pencil.. exciting!

Amelia's magazine

I used to love Amelia's magazine , now they dont print anymore, but they still have and online issue, a great place to look at what other current illustrators are doing and very inspirational as Amelia's magazine sets loads of live briefs which are open to all.

Finding magazines with soley fashion illustrations is difficult but I love SKETCHBOOK MAGAZINE

http://www.sketchbookmagazine.com/

Some really dynamic and exciting fashion illustrations in this months issue, brilliant that you can read it online!

Picasso line drawings

I love Picassos line drawings, his drawings have so much character, I particularly love 'man in his chair'. His line placement and detail is excellent. Also the way he draws when using pen is different to when he used ink, ive noticed this in my drawing, my drawing becomes alot loser using ink.
